We line up Turin museum tickets, the Torino+Piemonte Card from 1 to 5 days and guided tours with entry included, so you can see which formula costs less for your trip. The short version: the Card pays for itself with three museums in two days, but it never replaces the timed-slot booking at the Egyptian Museum.

Torino+Piemonte Card: what's included and how it works
The Torino+Piemonte Card is the official city pass of the Turin tourist board: a personal card that gives free entry to museums, Savoy residences and castles in Turin and across Piedmont for 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days. The clock starts at your first museum entry, not at purchase, so you can buy it weeks ahead and activate it when you walk into the first museum. Each museum can be visited once per Card.
The inclusion list covers almost every name visitors search for: the Royal Museums with the Royal Palace, Armoury and Shroud Chapel, the Egyptian Museum, the National Cinema Museum inside the Mole Antonelliana, Palazzo Madama, GAM, MAUTO, the Lavazza Museum, the Risorgimento Museum, the Reggia di Venaria with its gardens, Castello di Rivoli, the Stupinigi hunting lodge and the other residences of the UNESCO circuit. On the Mole panoramic lift, the Sassi–Superga rack tramway and the hop-on hop-off bus the Card gives a discount, not free entry.
What the Card does not do: it does not include GTT city transport, it does not remove timed-slot bookings where they are mandatory, and it includes no guided tours. It is a tool for people who enter many museums, not a tour.
Card prices for 1, 2, 3 and 5 days versus single Turin museum tickets
The bands we observe on partner catalogues, checked regularly: 1-day Card €27–31*, 2-day €36–40*, 3-day €45–50*, 5-day €55–60*. Single tickets at the main Turin museums: Egyptian Museum €18–22*, Cinema Museum €13–16* (Mole lift separate at €9–10*, or combined €20–22*), Royal Museums €15–18*, Palazzo Madama €10–12*, MAUTO €12–15*, Reggia di Venaria €20–25* with gardens. The partner's checkout price always prevails.
The maths is quick. Two museums in one day, say the Egyptian Museum and Royal Museums, cost €33–40* on single tickets: the 1-day Card at €27–31* already wins, narrowly. Three museums over two days, adding the Cinema Museum, come to €46–56* against €36–40* for the 2-day Card. Add Venaria on day three and the saving climbs to €20–30*. Below two museums the Card never pays off.
- 1 day: Egyptian Museum in the morning, Royal Museums after lunch, Palazzo Madama until closing.
- 2 days: the above plus the Cinema Museum and MAUTO or Lavazza.
- 3–5 days: add the Reggia di Venaria, Rivoli or Stupinigi, each €12–25* on its own.
When the Turin city pass pays off and when a guided tour is the better buy
The Card is built for people who want to see a lot on their own. It suits anyone spending a full weekend in Turin, happy to walk and not in need of a guide to make sense of the Gallery of Kings at the Egyptian Museum or the state rooms of the Royal Palace. It also suits rainy days, common from October to April, when the plan naturally becomes a sequence of museums.
It does not pay off in three cases. If you visit a single museum: the single ticket is cheaper. If you have booked guided tours with entry included, such as the small-group Egyptian Museum tour from €68–75* or the Royal Palace tour from €56–65*: you would pay the same entry twice. If your trip is more about walks, bicerin and the Langhe than exhibition rooms: then a timed ticket for the Egyptian Museum plus a walking tour of the centre is enough.
The mixed approach works best of all: one guided tour for the museum you care about most, the 2-day Card for the other three or four. If you are coming from Milan for a single day, the Turin from Milan page has a dedicated comparison.
Bookings, timed slots, transport and reduced tickets
The point that causes most confusion: the Card does not replace timed-slot reservations. The Egyptian Museum works on slots and Card holders still reserve a date and time on the museum website, where a booking fee of a few euros* may apply: check at the time. The Cinema Museum requires reservations in peak periods, the Royal Museums usually do not. On weekends, holiday bridges and around Christmas the morning slots at the Egyptian Museum sell out days ahead.
Transport: the Card does not include GTT trams, buses or the metro. A city-transport add-on has been sold separately, but the formulas change over time, so check with the tourist board. In practice the centre is walkable: the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Madama, Royal Museums and Mole sit within a ten-minute radius under the arcades. You only need transport for Venaria, Superga, MAUTO at Lingotto and Rivoli.
Children and reductions: many Turin museums are free under 6 and reduced up to 14 or 18, so for small children the Card is rarely needed; a Junior version exists and is worth it only once you have added up the real reduced fares. Residents of Piedmont and frequent visitors look instead at the regional Abbonamento Musei or the Royal Pass of the Royal Museums, annual formulas to verify on the official sites.
Turin museums that are genuinely worth the ticket
Turin packs an unusual number of museums into a city of 850,000, which is why the Card makes more sense here than in most Italian cities. The Egyptian Museum is the oldest Egyptian museum in the world, founded in 1824, and the largest collection outside Cairo: two to three hours minimum. The National Cinema Museum fills the Mole Antonelliana, 167.5 metres tall, with a glass panoramic lift rising through the void of the dome.
The Royal Museums bundle the Royal Palace, Royal Armoury, Sabauda Gallery, Museum of Antiquities and Guarini's Shroud Chapel under one ticket: on the Card it is the best-value entry of all. Palazzo Madama, across Piazza Castello, layers a medieval castle behind Juvarra's baroque facade. Outside the centre are MAUTO at Lingotto, the Lavazza Museum in Aurora and the Reggia di Venaria, the largest Savoy residence, whose gardens alone fill half a day.
Platforms, vouchers and how we choose
On tours.torino.it the Torino+Piemonte Card is listed only through Tiqets, which at our last check sells it from €29* with a high rating across thousands of reviews; GetYourGuide does not carry it. At checkout, check the delivery method: a digital voucher to show at the museums, or collection of the physical card at a tourist office. For single timed tickets we use Tiqets; for guided tours we list GetYourGuide first and Headout as a fallback when it adds useful slots.
Prices marked with an asterisk are bands observed on partner catalogues, checked regularly: the final price is the one at checkout. We are not the official site of the Card or of any museum; when a formula changes, we update the page at the next check. To plan your days, start from the one-day itinerary and add the museums the Card covers.

FAQ
What does the Torino+Piemonte Card include?
Free entry to most museums in Turin and Piedmont: the Royal Museums with the Royal Palace and Shroud Chapel, the Egyptian Museum, the National Cinema Museum, Palazzo Madama, GAM, the MAUTO car museum, the Lavazza Museum, the Reggia di Venaria and a string of Savoy residences and castles. On the Mole panoramic lift, the Sassi–Superga rack tramway and the hop-on hop-off bus it gives a discount rather than free entry. GTT city transport is not included.
How much is the Turin city pass for 1, 2 and 3 days?
The bands we see on partner catalogues are €27–31* for 1 day, €36–40* for 2 days, €45–50* for 3 days and €55–60* for 5 days. Prices are checked regularly, but the checkout price prevails. For scale: Egyptian Museum €18–22* plus Royal Museums €15–18* plus Cinema Museum €13–16* already adds up to €46–56*, more than a 2-day Card.
Does the Turin card include public transport?
No. The Card covers museums and attractions, not GTT trams, buses or the metro. A transport add-on has been sold separately, but the formulas change, so check with the tourist board or at purchase. For two days in the centre you rarely need transport anyway: the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Madama, the Royal Museums and the Mole are all within ten minutes' walk under the arcades.
Does the Card skip the line at the Egyptian Museum?
It skips the ticket desk, not the entrance. The Egyptian Museum runs on timed slots and Card holders still have to reserve a date and time on the museum's website, where a small booking fee may apply: check at the time. On weekends and Italian holiday bridges the morning slots sell out days ahead, so book as soon as your dates are fixed. The Cinema Museum asks for reservations in peak periods too.
Is the Turin card worth it for 2 days?
Yes, if you enter at least three paid museums. A typical weekend with the Egyptian Museum, Royal Museums, Cinema Museum and Palazzo Madama costs €56–68* on single tickets against €36–40* for the 2-day Card. It is not worth it if you have already booked a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum or Royal Palace, because entry is included in the tour and you would pay twice for the same museum.
Do children need a Card?
Often not. Many Turin museums are free under 6 and reduced up to 14 or 18: at the Egyptian Museum, for example, the 6–14 ticket costs just a few euros*. A Junior version of the Card exists at a lower price, but add up the reduced fares for the museums you will actually visit before buying it. For a family with two children under 6, the adults' Cards are all you need.
Where do I buy and collect the Torino+Piemonte Card?
On this site the Card is listed only through Tiqets: at checkout check whether you receive a voucher to show directly at the museums or need to collect the physical card at a tourist office, for example in Piazza Castello or at Porta Nuova station. The Card is personal and activates at your first entry; the validity days count from that moment, not from the purchase date.
Can I combine the Card with a guided tour?
Yes, and it is the combination we recommend most: a guided tour for the one museum you really want explained, the Card for everything else. For example the small-group Egyptian Museum tour on day one, then Royal Museums, Palazzo Madama and the Mole on the Card. Just avoid buying the Card for museums the tour already includes.
